A full exterior siding update on this classic two-story home in Barre, MA. The original clapboards were tired, cracked in spots, and covered in years of overgrowth. Instead of tearing everything off, we overlaid the existing clapboard with 1/4" polywrap to create a smooth, flat surface, then installed fresh cream-colored vinyl siding with crisp white trim around every window, door, and roofline.
What We Did
Removed the failing shutters and cleaned up the existing exterior
Overlaid the old clapboard with 1/4" polywrap to level out the wall surface
Installed new cream vinyl lap siding across all elevations
Wrapped every window and door in bright white trim for a clean, sharp look
Ran new white fascia, drip edge, and corner boards to tie the whole exterior together
The Result
The home went from a dark, dated exterior to a bright, clean New England look that will hold up for decades with almost no maintenance. Same house, completely refreshed.
